SMART Boards

Help you

. sort words or pictures into categories, or numbers into order

. edit sentences, paragraphs, or whole essays

. separate numbers or formulas into parts, and move the parts around

. brainstorm

. hide parts of pictures or words, to quiz knowledge or prompt discussion

. mark or highlight certain parts of words, pictures, or problems

. create and manipulate graphs onscreen

. write collaboratively or solve problems

. peer teach, and support student presentations

If you open the notebook, you can write on the Smart Board with Dry-Erase markers and the writing will appear on the notebook and can be printed out.  One teacher is using it to work with spelling words.  Another teacher uses it as a blackboard and prints out notes for students with IEPs
