JULY

TUES - 7/1/2008 - Blogging

What is a blog?  A blog (web log) is a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. Do people use blogs in education?  Edublogs.org is currently powering 170,031 blogs… and these are all blogs in the educational community.  In this workshop, you will be able setup your classroom EduBlog and learn ways to use EduBlogs in the classroom!

 

TUES - 7/22/2008 - SmartBoard

SmartBoards are a great technology tool in the classroom. In this workshop, you will be able to see the ways that the SmartBoard enhances the classroom and you will be able to use it yourself. We will look at sample lessons you could use the SmartBoard for. Anyone interested in sharing their SmartBoard lessons?  Please send them my way!

 

WED - 7/23/2008 - Podcasting

Did you know that Woodstown has a podcasting server? Podcasting is a way of broadcasting information (audio and/or video) over the Internet. In this workshop, you will be able to create your own podcast, using specific audio recording software. There are many educational uses of podcasts, and you will be able to search for podcasts to subscribe to online.

 

THUR - 7/24/2008 - Incorporating Technology

You want it? We got it! We have it all: Web 2.0, Google, Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts, Ed Networking, Tech Ed Resources, Laptop Lessons, and much more!  Do not fear all that tech lingo.  Get the “who, what, where, when, why and how’s” of implementing technology in your classroom.

 

TUE - 7/29/2008 - PowerPoint

Make your presentations stand out from the rest! During this workshop, we will look at specific features of PowerPoint that will help you to create more effective presentations. You will be able to create better looking PowerPoints and help your students as well. We will explore adding graphics, sound, and video into a PowerPoint. PowerPoint presentations work great with a SmartBoard!
