Purpose:
 

 

 

 

 

 
 
The purpose of the Woodstown High School Chapter of the National Art Honor Society is to:

-  insure and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art  foster excellence and a dedicated spirit to the pursuit of art
- further creative abilities and talents of the Society's members, as well as the school's entire art enrollment
- aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in an art area
 -bring art to the attention of the school and the community
- increase awareness of art in relation to other areas of the school curriculum
- further aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the school's total program
 
Requirements:

To be eligible for membership to the National Art Honor Society students must meet the following requirements:

- membership will be based upon art scholarship, service and character   
- have completed at least one semester of high school level art
- have maintained a minimum B average in all art classes taken
- must be in grades 10 - 12
- obtain recommendation by a member of the art faculty who is in good standing with NAEA

Duties of Officers

President

The duties of the President shall be:
~ to preside at meetings of the chapter
~to organize and be present at all chapter activities
~to  act as master of ceremonies at the annual induction ceremony for new members
~ to be an active participant in the maintenance and advancement of the society
 

Vice- President

    The duties of the Vice President shall be:
~ assume all responsibilities of the President in his/ her absence
 ~to aid in the organization of and be present at all chapter activities 
 ~to be an active participant in the maintenance and advancement of the society
 

Secretary

    The duties of the secretary shall be:
~ to record the minutes of the meetings
 ~to write an annual chapter report for submission to The National Art Honor Society News
~ to notify members of upcoming meetings
 ~to be an active participant in the maintenance and advancement of the society
 

Treasurer
    The duties of the treasurer shall be:
~to receive and disburse all funds of the chapter
 ~to keep an accurate account of receipts and disbursements in accordance with school regulations
~ to be an active participant in the maintenance and advancement of the society
