Athletic Physicals: Students need to have their athletic physicals done by their family physician or pediatrician (medical home), in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A: 40-4 and N.J.A.C. 6A: 16-2.2. Please contact the health office for any questions or concerns regarding sports physicals. Paperwork for sports participation may be picked up in the health office, the main office, or the guidance office. Sports paperwork is due November 2, 2007 (for swimmers) and November 7, 2007 for all remaining winter sports. Sign ups for winter sports will begin on October 19, 2007 in the health office. Any delay in turning in sports paperwork may result in delay in the students’ participation. Please contact the health office or see Mrs. Weber with any concerns. . Immunization Requirements: Please note that all high school students (grades 9 –12) are required to have the hepatitis B series completed prior to attending school in September 2006. Please be aware Hepatitis vaccine is a series of 2 or 3 shots that is completed over a period of time. Contact your family physician or pediatrician as soon as possible to make arrangements. If your student has already received these immunizations, please forward a copy to the health office.
Latex-Free School Environment: Latex allergy is becoming a growing concern that directly affects the health and well-being of our students. Please note that the high school and middle school support the use of latex-free products when able. Latex balloons are not permitted in the school environment, however Mylar balloons can be used their place. We appreciate your support . this matter |
