Hello and welcome to my homepage. My name is April Haley. I am a special education at Woodstown High School. I teach the multiply-disabled, self-contained program for students aged 14-21. I graduated from Rowan University with my B.S degree and Teacher of the Handicapped certificate. My husband and I have 3 children, Christopher-23, Hank-12, and Jenna-6 so I am busy both at school and home. I love my job! My students are the best in the school becuase they want to see me every day and miss me when I am absent. I love to tease other teachers about that fact!
On-site Job Sampling Program- This year we were able to get a recycling program up and running with the financial support from the Woodstown-Pilesgrove School Foundation. The recycling program is being run by Ms. Marilyn Sharp, Tom McHugh, the environmetal club, and myself. There are many students who cycle in and out of this program as a part of their Job Sampling program. Our program currently recycles paper, newspaper, magazines, etc. We hope to add cans to our list in the near future. This program provides students that are too medically fragile or have disabilities that prevent them from leaving the building an opportunity to gain workforce skills. This is a great addition to Woodstown High School's transition program.
