My Track / XC Page!

This page is dedicated to all of the track and cross country athletes in the middle school and high school. I've done both sports since I was 7 and still enjoy them to this day. Here's an overview of what goes on during the seasons that I coach.

WMS Cross Country (XC): It's the 3rd year of the program! This sport will be available to all 7th and 8th grade boys and girls during the fall season (July-October) of the school year. Athletes will learn the team aspect of cross-country running and getting themselves in shape to race our 1.5 mile course specifically set up for the middle schoolers on our school property. Students will race against individual teams in the tri-county area or against several at one time! There are also meets on Saturdays as well! They will also have the chance to interact with the high school teams and most importantly, be prepared when they join the high school XC team or any other athletic team they wish to.

WHS Winter Track: This program is now 7 years old and has been quite a success. Students brave the cold temperatures to compete in meets indoors and outdoors. Places we have gone to in the past are to Haverford College, Princeton University, the Jersey City Armory, the Toms River Bubble and the 168th St. Armory in NYC, along with visits to schools in the royal division of the conference. Athletes can compete in events from sprints, distances, jumps, relays and throws.

WHS Boys Spring Track: This program allows athletes to compete in a variety of events throughout the season, in weather we can all enjoy! The program runs from March to June and is coming off of a great season that produced another state sectional champion. Athletes compete as a team, against other schools, or individually. There are also relay only meets, state meets and 'open' meets that give students the chance to compete against others from different states.

I look forward to another exciting year of Wolverine athletics.

Simple rules to follow for any of these sports.

  • Be present for all practices and meets in workout clothing.

  • Always give 100%! TRY! (Otherwise, why join at all?)

  • Maintain passing grades in all subjects.

  • Stay out of trouble in school.
