You want to know about Mr. Tencza????

Well here we go! My name is Ryan Tencza and I've been teaching Science for seven years at Woodstown Middle School. I've taught the 6th, 7th and 8th grades at one time or another, but I am now teaching 7th only. I am also the WMS cross-country coach for boys and girls. I am also the WHS Head Winter Track coach for boys and girls and the WHS Head Spring Track coach for boys. Yeah, i'm always busy from September to June. I graduated from West Windsor-Plainsboro South High School (Yes, the name is TOO long) in Princeton, NJ in 1998 and earned my degree from Rowan University in 2002. I began teaching Science here in 2002 and have loved every minute of it.

Whenever i'm not busy, you can find me doing a variety of things. I run pretty much all of the time. I was on my first track team when I was 7. I ran the Philadelphia Marathon last year and plan to run the Boston Marathon this year if I can stay healthy enough to. I'm also a big sports fan. I love the New York Giants, New Jersey Devils and New York Yankees. I like the Knicks too, but I don't tell many people that. I don't like Philly teams, so go ahead, call me a 'hater.' My students will be constantly reminded throughout the year that I at least was alive the last time my favorite teams won championships. :-) After sports, you can usually find me doing the 'normal stuff,' like going to movies, bowling, pole vaulting, the beach, playing pool or going out to eat. PJ Whelihans is my favorite place to go to eat wings while watching my Giants on Sunday.

Me in my college days. Pretty tough huh?

- I was an NCAA All-American in Cross-Country in 2000.

- My favorite movies are "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Dumb and Dumber."
