The US II history course focuses
on 20th century history, the present government and current issues. The
course content begins with the study of the government by using the
Constitution as a "Living Document" and continues with WW II to the
present. This course is designed to strengthen students' knowledge of their
country and government.
Students will use eyewitness
accounts, narrative, primary sources materials, literature and art to
understand the issues of US history. Editorial cartoons are used so the
students are able to analyze the issues and events that are shaping our
current history and government. This course will help students study modern
America in detail in order to participate as responsible citizens in today's
society.
