The Basic Skills Improvement Program at the Woodstown Middle School follows an in-class teaching model believing that all children benefit from individual or small group support. They are given supplemental instruction which correlates with the regular classroom instruction and specific skills needed for advancement. The students usually remain in their classroom as scheduled for this additional help.
Students are identified for this program based on the NJASK scores and teacher recommendation. The parents are then notified in writing of their child's need for BSI.
