HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS

 All daily assignments are written in the homework assignment books. Please check and sign your child's book.

Spelling: Weekly Spelling Contracts are given Monday and to be completed on Friday. (Spelling Test-Friday).

Math: We have been working on addition and subtraction using Touchmath.  We have also been working on counting coins, working with the 100's chart, and identifying numbers that come before and after a given number

Reading: We are focusing on decoding skills, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Everyday each student chooses a book to read.  The following morning, your child writes in his/her response writing journal and writes one or two sentences telling about the story that was read the previous night.

English: We are working on our Journal Writing and Farm Animal Booklets

Life Skills:  We are working on following daily schedules, identifying days of the weeks and months, and telling time. On Fridays, we follow basic recipes during our cooking time.  On Fridays, we count our change that we have earned throughout the week so we can buy items at our Prize Store.
