CONGRATULATIONS

To

 

Tori Smick and Marcus Reed for being selected to play in the Senior All Star Basketball games this past weekend!

 

Marcus Johnson for being selected by the Al Carino Boys Basketball Club as the first ever recipient of the Most Courageous Award. He will be honored at a banquet on April 5th!

 

Pat McCurdy for being selected to play in the Adam Taliaferro Senior All Star football game on June 27th at Rowan University!

 
Congratulations to Patrick McCurdy for earning his 100th career wrestling win on Saturday, January 26th against Schalick High School. Pat is only the second wrestler in school history to reach this milestone. The school record is 104 wins. At the end of the season, Pat's name and career win record will be placed on the "100 win" banner that hangs in the gym!
 
Tori Smick is being honored at the Al Carino Girls Basketball Banquet for being named one of the top 12 players of South Jersey.

 

Congratulations to LeeAnn Dobbs and Matt Simmermon for qualifying for the State Championship in swimming and diving! They will compete at  States in late February and early March!

 
 Head Wrestling Coach Adam Hyland reached his 100th career win on January 12, 2013 against Triton High School.

 

The girls’ winter track team won their first ever state relay medals in school history in winter or spring when Kelly O'Kane, Melanie Gibbs, Alexa DiGregorio, and Sarah Fisher finished 5th in the state in the Distance Medley Relay.
 
Head Girls Basketball Coach Joe Ursino reached his 100th career win on February 25, 2013 against Haddonfield Memorial High School.

 

The boys pole vault relay team also finished 4th in the state with a combined clearance of 20 feet, 6 inches from Mike Andiario and Will Horner. It was the first time a pole vault relay won state medals as well. 
 

 February 6th is National Signing Day. Arienne Reilley will be signing with the University of North Carolina – Charlotte for a partial soccer scholarship and Lauren DeVault will be signing with Goldey Beacom College for a partial soccer scholarship. Congratulations to both of them!

 
Congratulations to Tori Smick for becoming the all time leading scorer in girls basketball with 1,566 points.

 General Eligibility Requirements 
Credits

1. To be eligible for athletic competition during the first semester (September 1 to January 31) of the 10th grade or higher, or the second year of attendance in the secondary school or beyond, a pupil must have passed 25% of the credits (27.5) [30 beginning with the Class of 2014] required by the State of New Jersey for graduation (110) [120 beginning with the Class of 2014], during the immediately preceding academic year.

 

2. To be eligible for athletic competition during the second semester (Feb. 1 to June 30) of the 9th grade or higher, a pupil must have passed the equivalent of 121/2% of the credits (13.75) [15 beginning with the Class of 2014] required by New Jersey for graduation (110) [120 beginning with the Class of 2014] at the close of the preceding semester (Jan. 31). Full-year courses shall be equated as one-half of the total credits to be gained for the full year to determine credits passed during the immediately preceding semester.

 
3. All students are required to fill out a physical packet for EACH sport they participate in. If you have had a physical within 365 days, then you would need to fill out an UPDATE FORM ONLY .
