The New Jersey State Board of Education adopted in May
2003 a new equity code, N.J.A.C. 6A:7, Managing for Equality and Equity in
Education. This code outlines district
responsibilities for achieving and maintaining compliance to all state and
federal laws governing equity in educational programs. In
accordance with this
New Jersey
mandate, each district board of education is required to establish an
Affirmative Action Team. The Woodstown-Pilesgrove AA team was designated in
January, and it is comprised of school personnel and community members. The purpose of this team is to conduct a district
needs assessment, and then develop the three-year Comprehensive Equity Plan
for 2007-10. The Comprehensive Equity Plan is on file at the district office and with the Affirmative Action Officer of the district. If you have
